Terms of Use
A2 Calc ("the app") is made by A2 Labs. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Use at your own risk
The app is an estimating aid. Its answers come from the numbers you type and from simplified rules of thumb (stud layout, waste allowances, grout per cell, lintel sizes and the like). They can be wrong, rounded, or not fit for your job.
- Check every number before you build, order, bid or pay with it.
- Nothing the app shows is engineering, architectural or legal advice, or a sealed or certified calculation. It does not check codes, spans, loads or what your plans and engineer call for.
- You alone are responsible for how you use its results: quantities ordered, prices bid, work built, and anything that follows from them.
No warranty
The app is provided free, "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, A2 Labs and the app's contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the app or from relying on it, including over- or under-ordered material, wrong bids, delays, rework, lost profit, property damage or injury, whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential, even if told such loss was possible. Where the law does not allow this limit, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app (nothing).
The app and its code
The app's source code is open under the MIT License (see LICENSE). That license covers the code only: the A2 Calc name, the A2 logo and the app's icons are not licensed for other apps.
If you got the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or for these terms.
Changes
These terms may change with a new version of the app; the date above says when they last did. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
